Eurus Energy transfers ownership in 8 MW wind farm

The wind farm started operations in May 2009.

Japan’s Eurus Energy has completed the transfer of its ownership stake in former subsidiary Eurus Energy Seto and operator of an 8-megawatt (MW) wind farm to Yonden Engineering.

In a statement, Eurus Energy said Yonden leads the construction, maintenance, and inspection of generation and substation facilities of the Shikoku Electric Power Group.

Eurus and Yonden have established a wind generation company to promote and increase renewable energy.

“As Yonden Engineering has been seeking further participation and investment in renewable energy-related businesses and has established a maintenance office specializing in wind power in the town of Ikata, the parties agreed on the transfer with the belief that it will further strengthen cooperation with the local government and community and contribute to further regional contributions,” Eurus said.

The Eurus Seto Wind Farm, composed of four turbines with 2 MW capacity each is located in Ikata town, Nishiuwa-gun Ehime.
