Deals were signed for battery energy projects in the country.
Dubai-based AMEA Power has signed capacity purchase agreements with the Egyptian government to develop the country’s first standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
In a statement, the company said the projects have a total capacity of 1,500 megawatt-hours (MWh), of which 500 MWh will be in Zafarana and 1,000 MWh BESS in Benban.
