Aljomaih Energy reaches financial close for 300 MW solar project

This will energise over 50,000 households.

Aljomaih Energy and Water Company has reached financial close for its US$ 220m (SAR 825m) Rabigh 2 Solar Project.

The build, own, and operate project is located in Rabigh Makkah province and has a generation capacity of 300 megawatts.

The solar project is under a 25-year power purchase agreement and can energise 53,000 households.

“The project will contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the energy mix used for electricity production in the Kingdom, aiming to reach approximately 50% by 2030, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030,” Aljomaih Energy said.
