The project will have 131 turbines, supported by a battery storage facility.

ACEN Australia has announced that its 943 megawatt (MW) Valley of the Winds Wind Farm has received the Independent Planning Commission’s (IPC) approval.

"The approval is a significant milestone for ACEN, as we progress development of our 13 GW pipeline across Australia,” the company said in a statement.

The Valley of the Winds project will be comprised of 131 wind turbines and a 320 MW / 640 MW-hour battery energy storage facility.

“As we progress towards the construction stage of the project, we remain committed to ongoing consultation and engagement with the community, local businesses, and project partners,” ACEN said.
