NTPC Green adds nearly 100 MW of solar capacity
The additional solar generation capacity is part of two major projects.
NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commencement of operation of nearly 100 megawatts (MW) of additional solar power capacity.
According to a bourse filing, its parent company, NTPC Limited, said the added solar power generation includes 32.8 MW via the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project at Khavda, Bhuj, Gujarat, under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche-V Project of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.
Its commercial operation was declared on 30 January following the first 142.2 MW on 28 June.
The company also started commercial operation for 64.7 MW of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project of NTPC Renewable Energy under the CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III.
This part’s commercial operation was also declared on 30 June. The first 110.25 MW and the second 146.7 MW reached commercial operation on 6 June and 28 June, respectively.
