SECI calls for bids for two battery energy storage projects

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) is calling for tenders for battery energy storage system (BESS) projects under Tranche-2 of the Market Component of Viability Gap Funding for BESS development.

In a notice, SECI said a tender will be issued regarding a request for selection of BESS supplier for 600 megawatts (MW) /1200 megawatt-hour (MWh) BESS along with comprehensive maintenance.

There will also be a tender for the balance of system for setting up of a 600 MW/ 1200 MWh BESS project.

“Prospective bidders are requested to remain updated for any notices/ amendments/ clarifications etc. to the RfS documents,” SEC said.
