NHPC names Rajendra Prasad chairman and managing director

He also held the position in 2024.

Rajendra Prasad Goyal assumes additional charge of chairman and managing director of NHPC.

In a statement, the company said Goyal assumed the role on 1 July. Goyal also held the same posts from 1 March 2024 to 7 August 2024.

He joined NHPC in 1988 as a Finance Professional. He is also a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Goyal is also holding other posts in other companies, such as chairman of Jal Power Corporation Limited (JPCL), Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited (BSUL) and NHPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL). He is also director (Finance) at the National Power Training Institute, Faridabad.
