OMC Power eyes 1 GWp clean energy portfolio

This will be fuelled by projects across North and Central India.

Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) company OMC Power has announced plans to build a 1 gigawatt-peak clean energy portfolio across India.

In a statement, the company said this will be spread across the regions of North and Central India.

OMC Power is India’s first DRE company to achieve a profit after tax positive status in fiscal year 2025–2026, reporting a 40% to 50% growth from the previous year.

The company is backed by investments from Japan’s Mitsui & Co. and Chubu Electric Power. It has energised more than 200 hospitals and medical colleges under the RESCO model.

OMC Power is also powering telecom towers in underserved regions and supports small businesses through local sourcing and maintenance.
