ENEOS and Shoreline Wind team up to fuel Japan’s offshore wind projects
This will support Japan’s goal to develop up to 10 GW of offshore wind facilities.
ENEOS Renewable Energy (ERE) has partnered with Shoreline Wind to use artificial intelligence in managing the full lifecycle of wind farms in Japan.
“ERE will deploy Shoreline’s digital platform across its current offshore developments, tackling key challenges such as complex logistics, unpredictable weather, and tight supply chains,” Shoreline said.
The partnership is seen to benefit Japan’s goal to develop up to 10 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind projects by 2030, with a longer-term target of 30 GW to 45 GW by 2040, under its 7th Strategic Energy Plan.
“Shoreline’s AI-powered solution will enable us to create more efficient and cost-effective strategies for construction and ongoing operations and maintenance across all of our projects. Shoreline’s technology will also help to accelerate Japan’s ambitious offshore wind targets,” ERE said.
