India inaugurates 45 kW solar project for Goa Water Supply
It is expected to generate 60,000 units annually.
India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has announced the inauguration of a 45-kilowatt on-grid solar power system at a water pumping station in North Goa district.
According to the ministry, this is under IREDA’s CSR initiative.
The project is expected to generate about 60,000 units annually, achieving 100% solarisation of the pumping load. It aims to showcase how renewable energy can sustainably power public water distribution systems.
