The projects will be delivered until 2029.

The Philippines has awarded 10,195.49 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity across 123 winning bidders under the fourth round of its Green Energy Auction Program (GEA-4).

According to the country’s Department of Energy, these projects to be delivered from 2026 to 2029 include ground-mounted solar, roof-mounted solar, floating solar, integrated renewable energy with energy storage systems (IRESS), and onshore wind.

Of the awarded capacities, ground-mounted solar projects accounted for over 4,179.09 MW, with major contributions from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao grids; floating solar secured 2,284 MW, including large-scale projects in Laguna, Pampanga, and Negros; and onshore wind projects added 2,518.29 MW, with developments planned in Quezon, Sorsogon, and Visayas provinces.

Meanwhile, integrated RE with energy storage systems contributed 1,189.29 MW, and roof-mounted solar added 24.82 MW.

All winning bidders are required to submit key compliance documents, including affidavits of undertaking, performance bonds, system impact studies, and proof of financial obligations by 6 December.
