Basic Energy wins bid for 43-MW Philippine solar project

It is expected to commence commercial operations by end‑2026.

Basic Energy Corporation is the exclusive solar energy developer of the Cadiz 1 Solar Power Project after receiving a Certificate of Award for the project, following the company’s bid in the Fourth Round of the Green Energy Auction Program (GEA-4).

The project is a 43.410 -MWAC renewable energy development in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, with the company adhering to the terms and conditions of the GEA Program and executing the relevant project agreements.

The company is advancing the completion of the remaining project requirements, including the execution of necessary agreements, in preparation for the development and delivery of the project to the Visayas Grid.

The project is expected to commence commercial operations by 31 December 2026.
