Dubai-backed Goldenray Energy to supply 118 MW solar power in Zambia
Plant is expected to supply electricity by early 2027.
The Ministry of Energy has signed an Implementation Agreement with Goldenray Energy Limited to develop a 118 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar power plant in Sinazongwe District, Southern Province.
The 118MW solar plant is expected to start supplying electricity by early 2027, boosting generation capacity and supporting the government’s renewable energy and energy security goals.
Permanent Secretary – Electricity, Arnold Simwaba, signed on behalf of the government, whilst Director and CEO Ajit Kumar Mishra signed for the company.
Goldenray Energy Limited is incorporated in Zambia and backed by a major investment fund from Dubai.
