Under the agreement, 70,000 MTPA will be supplied to a company in Dhule, Maharashtra.
InSolare Energy and SCC Infrastructure have signed an agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India to supply 85,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia under India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.
The $398m projects have been executed through Special Purpose Vehicles to supply green ammonia to leading fertiliser companies under SECI.
Under the agreement, 70,000 MTPA will be supplied to Madhya Bharat Agro Products Limited in Dhule, Maharashtra, and 15,000 MTPA to Paradeep Phosphates Limited in Mangalore, Karnataka, over 10 years.
The agreements are part of SECI's green ammonia programme under the SIGHT scheme, aimed at enabling price discovery and accelerating its adoption.
In SECI's auctions under the scheme, a benchmark tariff of $0.64 (₹53.05) per kilogram was discovered for the Dhule project and $0.69 (₹57.65) per kg for the Mangalore project.
