Acwa wins exclusive rights to export Saudi green hydrogen
It includes green ammonia, green methanol, and green fuels.
Acwa has secured government approval granting it exclusive rights to export green hydrogen and its derivatives produced in Saudi Arabia to international markets.
The company said in a press release, this covers green ammonia, green methanol, and green fuels.
The mandate also assigns Acwa to develop projects to produce, transmit, and export renewable electricity from the Kingdom to European and Arab markets.
The move comes as global demand for clean molecules accelerates, with Saudi Arabia seeking to convert its renewable resource advantage into long-term export revenue and diversify its economy away from oil dependence.
