Philippines' Aboitiz Power Corp mulls over bidding for three assets

Geothermal power plants and a coal plant.

Various news reports quote that officials from Philippine-based Aboitiz Power Corp. are saying that there is interest in independent power producer administrative contracts.

According to a research note from Maybank Kim Eng, these are three assets that the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. will be bidding out.

The report said these are the Mount Apo geothermal power plants 1 and 2 on September 26, remaining capacity for the Unified Leyte geothermal power plant in 1Q15 and STEAG coal plant at a date still to be determined.
