Indonesia inks deal to build 60MW wind farm in Sulawesi
This is going to be the country's largest wind farm.
Indonesia's national electricity company, PT PLN, signed an agreement to develop the first wind farm in South Sulawesi with a total capacity of 60MW.
The deal is in partnership with Danish wind turbine producer Vestas Wind Systems. The South Sulawesi project will become the largest wind farm as well as the first large-scale renewable energy project in Indonesia.
The project is in line with Indonesia's aggressive ramp up of renewables investments to achieve 23% renewables share in its energy mix.
