Lanco consortium gets 75MW Maharashtra solar project

Lanco Solar, in consortium with Juwi Renewables, will construct a 75MW photovoltaic facility in Maharashtra, India.

 

A contract has been awarded to the consortium by the electric utility Maharashtra State Power Generation.

Under the Rs8.84 billion or US$200 million contract, the consortium will use crystalline technology to build the facility in Dhule district.

The solar facility is expected to become operational by mid February 2012.

Lanco Group chairman Madhusudhan Rao said the company has also signed power purchase agreements for 141MW of solar powerwith NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam under the National Solar Mission and with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam under the state policy.
