ACME Solar secures 250 MW FDRE project in NHPC auction

This includes a green-shoe option that could expand the project’s capacity.

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has secured a 250 megawatt (MW) Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in the e-reverse auction held by NHPC at a tariff of INR 4.56 per unit.

In a statement, ACME Solar said the project includes a green-shoe option that could increase the total capacity of the facility to 500 MW.

With this recent addition, ACME Solar's total capacity now stands at 6,970 MW.

Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar, said the project will utilise central transmission utility connectivity the company already has in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Its expected commercial operation is in fiscal year (FY) 2027 to 2028 assuming the power purchase agreement is signed early FY 2026.
