India’s Greenko repays $935m global bonds

The bonds were issued by its subsidiaries Greenko Investment and Greenko Mauritius.

Greenko Energy Holdings has repaid $935m of global bonds from two separate transactions that were issued by its subsidiaries.

In a statement, Greenko said it has notified its bondholders on the early repayment of $500m Notes due in August 2023 that was issued by its subsidiary Greenko Investment Company. It was repaid using the Group’s cash flow.

The company has also repaid its $435m corporate bond issued by its subsidiary Greenko Mauritius through a $425m fresh loan.

“Greenko continues to maintain its focus on operational leverage as it builds its portfolio of long-duration energy storage assets with a capacity of 50 GWh,” it said.

The group has an installed capacity of 7.3 gigawatts across solar, wind, and hydro generation technologies.
