Aboitiz Power-Vivant joint venture to end operations by end-2026

This has been approved by the local securities market regulator.

Aboitiz Power Corporation has announced that authorities have approved the dissolution of its joint venture with Vivant Group.

In a bourse filing, Aboitiz Power said it was informed by the Cebu Private Power Corporation (CPPC), the joint venture entity, that the Securities and Exchange Commission has approved an amendment to its Articles of Incorporation shortening its corporate term to 31 December 2026.

“Following the full transfer of its plant assets to Meridian Power Inc. (MPI), CPPC no longer has any active operations. The power facility previously operated by CPPC is now being managed and operated by MPI,” the company said.
