ACEN completes full transition to 100% renewable energy

The company targets net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

ACEN has secured 100% renewable energy generation portfolio backed by over 7 gigawatts of attributable capacity.

In a statement, the company said its portfolio is composed of 4,634 megawatts (MW) of solar power, 1,957 MW of wind power, 115 MW of geothermal power, and 304 MW of battery energy storage.

The projects are either operational, under construction, or supported by signed agreements. They are spread across the Philippines, as well as in Australia, Vietnam, India, Lao PDR, and Indonesia amongst others.

“The company now operates on 100% renewable energy generation and is targeting Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, consistent with global climate objectives,” the statement read.
