This supports the goal to expand Australia’s energy storage capacity.
AMPYR Australia has reached financial close for its 300 megawatt / 600 megawatt-hour Wellington Stage 1 battery energy storage system project in Wellington, New South Wales.
“This marks an incredible milestone for AMPYR and AGP on our journey towards delivering 6 gigawatt-hours of operational Australian energy storage projects by 2030,” the company said.
AMPYR Australia said the project is being supported by various partners, including Fluence, Transgrid, Lumea and ZEN Energy, who have signed a 10-year virtual offtake agreement for the project.
