India to call for battery and solar power proposals
Project duration is up to two years.
India is set to accept proposals for battery and solar photovoltaic as it aims to boost research and development in these sectors.
In a memorandum, India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy said the “Innovation Challenge for Circularity in Renewable Energy Technologies - Batteries and Solar Photovoltaic” aims to promote innovation in recycling and reuse, minimise waste, enhance sustainability and resource efficiency, forster new technologies, strengthen the supply chain, and align with global climate goals.
The innovation challenge will help improve process and resource efficiency for solar and batteries, and promote circularity in their value chains.
Submission for proposals will start on 23 June and will close 15 July.
Project duration is up to two years, with extension depending on the case to be decided by the ministry.
