Recharge Power (7921-TW), a Taiwan-based battery energy storage systems (BESS) leader, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Australian energy developer Energy Decarb to form a joint venture (JV) for renewable energy development in Australia.
The JV will develop an initial 128MW / 292MWh project pipeline, with projects scheduled for phased completion over the next two years.
The partnership marks a key step in Recharge Power’s overseas expansion strategy.
The first phase will focus on commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, including hotels, malls, factories, logistics hubs, and sports facilities.
The JV will deliver integrated solar and BESS EPC solutions and Energy Service Company (ESCO) offerings aimed at reducing electricity costs, improving energy reliability, and enabling participation in Australia’s power market.
