STT GDC Philippines signs 10-year renewable energy deal for data centers
Energy will power STT Fairview and STT Cavite campuses.
ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines has signed a 10-year renewable energy agreement with MPower to supply 40.5 megawatts (MW) of clean energy for its STT Fairview and STT Cavite data center campuses.
The partnership supports the company’s expanding data center operations, which power services such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, online banking, e-commerce, streaming, and digital payments.
STT GDC Philippines said the move ensures its infrastructure growth is powered by cleaner energy as demand for digital services increases.
“AI and digital services are evolving at an unprecedented pace, and the infrastructure supporting them must scale responsibly,” said Carlo Malana, President and CEO of STT GDC Philippines. “By securing long-term renewable energy, we are ensuring that the mission-critical platforms our customers depend on every day are powered by sustainable sources, keeping carbon neutrality at the core of our operations.”
The renewable energy supply will power STT Fairview 1 and STT Cavite, which serve enterprise and technology clients in the Philippines. The company aims to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2030.
STT Fairview 1 is already operational, while STT Cavite 2 is currently undergoing testing and commissioning.
