Trina Solar fortifies Australian presence

Trina Solar has strengthened its presence in Australia by opening a sales and business development office in Sydney.

The PV manufacturer recently announced a collaboration on R&D with the Australian National University. The new office is said to be responsible for growing Trina’s customer base and develop new business opportunities in the region.

"Having worked closer with our customers over the past year, we are excited to expand our presence and brand in Australia," says John Susa, newly appointed Country Manager of Australia & New Zealand. "We foresee strong growth for the industry, both for residential rooftops and larger-scale commercial and utility projects. Trina Solar looks forward to participating more directly in the growth of the industry and to collaborating with Australian partners to bring solar PV to the next level of adoption and popularity."

"Australia is already one of the world's top 10 solar PV markets, and Trina Solar considers it a strategic priority to continue expanding its influence in this market as it develops sustainably over the next few years," added Ben Hill, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Trina Solar.
