JERA establishes JERA Cross to support corporate green transformation

JERA Cross will start operations on 1 June.

Japan-based energy firm JERA Co., Ltd. has established a company that will combine its energy, digital, and business transformation capacity to support the green transformation of corporations.

In a statement, JERA said the new company, JERA Cross, which will start operations on 1 June, will provide support from the development to the supply of renewable energy to decarbonise the corporation’s electricity decarbonisation.

“The green transformation encompasses both the technological issue of how to decarbonise the energy you consume and the strategic issue of how to link decarbonisation to your corporate strategy. We hope JERA Cross will be a partner that walks together with its clients on their GX journey to solving both issues simultaneously,” JERA Chief Strategy Officer Junya Tawa said.

JERA Cross signed an agreement with McKinsey & Company which will provide support to the company in promoting corporate green transformation and providing decarbonisation solutions.
