Masdar said in a statement that the signing came following the launch of its new green hydrogen business last year which aims to produce one million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030.
VERBUND, meanwhile, produces close to 100% of its electricity from renewable energy primarily hydropower, complemented by wind and solar. It is also engaged in energy transmission and international trading.
