Adani Green Energy to develop 700MW solar-wind project in Maharashtra

The project's operation date has been set to Q2 2022.

Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML) has awarded a 700 MW solar-wind hybrid project in the State of Maharashtra (Western India) to Rosepetal Solar Energy (RSEPL), a fully-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL). RSEPL took part in an auction for 350 MW of grid-connected wind-solar hybrid power projects in Maharashtra, that included a "green shoe option" for an additional 350 MW hybrid power project. With the approval of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC), AEML has thus awarded 700 MW o RSEPL.

The project is set to enter operation in the second quarter of 2022, benefiting from a 25-year PPA at INR3.24/kWh (US$4.5c/kWh) with minimum capacity utilization factor requirements of 50%. Adani Green Energy Limited’s portfolio of renewable capacity in India reaches 5.99 GW, out of which 2.50 GW are in operation and 3.49 GW are under construction.
