Chugoku Electric Power and TODA acquire stake in Masuda-Hikimi wind project

Total planned capacity is 54,000 kW.

The Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc. and TODA Corporation have acquired shares in Asia Wind Power Co., Ltd., joining the Masuda-Hikimi Wind Power Project as new investors alongside Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. and Hokutaku Co., Ltd.

The project involves the development of an onshore wind farm in Hikimi-cho with 13 turbines, each generating 4,200 kW, for a total capacity of 54,000 kW.

Construction will begin soon, with operations targeted for January 2030.

According to the project stakeholders, development will proceed in close coordination with the local community, prioritiSing safety throughout all stages of construction and operation.

The initiative is part of efforts to expand renewable energy and support decarbonization goals.
