India comes second to China in Asian ranking of wind power capacity

It has nabbed the fourth spot on a global scale.

The Econmic Times reported that India has attained the fourth position globally in installed wind power capacity after China, US and Germany as a result of various steps in the "right" direction, the Economic Survey said today.

With the legal framework in place for the International Solar Alliance (ISA), the brainchild of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and launched during the UN climate summit in Paris, ISA will be a "major" international body headquartered in India, it added.
