India issues over 2,000 MW of RE tenders in October

India has issued more than 2,330 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy tenders in October 2025 under the project development category.
According to the latest data from JMK Research & Analytics, the tenders issued last month include SECI. It invited bids for a 1,200 MW / 4,800 megawatt-hour (MWh) peak power supply tender, comprising firm and dispatchable renewable energy from ISTS-connected RE projects with co-located storage systems.
Additionally, there were over 600 MW of EPC tenders issued last month.
In terms of completed auctions, about 3,600 MW of renewable energy capacity and 6,000 MWh of energy storage capacity were allocated to various developers.
From January to September 2025, about 29,466 MW of solar and 4,959 MW of wind capacity were added in the country, taking the cumulative capacity to around 247.3 gigawatts.
