PH’s first megawatt-scale floating solar plant connects to grid

The plant will support the country’s RE share goal of 35%.

A 4.99 megawatt floating solar plant in Cebu City in the Philippines has been successfully connected to the grid.

The project located at the Malubog Reservoir has been completed by Black & Veatch. It also features Sungrow FPV's floating solar system solutions.

It supplies power to the Carmen Copper mining site, meeting around 10% of the mine's energy demand and contributing to the Philippines' national target of achieving a 35% renewable energy share by 2030.
