Queensland power 180 MW Dulacca Wind Farm

Around 70% of its output was acquired by state-owned CleanCo.

The Queensland government started the operations of the 180-megawatt Dulacca Wind Farm which will provide clean energy the the state’s SuperGrid.

In the statement, the state’s government said state-oned CleanCo signed a long-term power purchase deal with the power facility, acquiring 70% of 126 MW of the project’s output to be delivered to its customers which include BHP Mitsubishi Alliance and Westfield shopping centres owner Scentre Group.

“Queensland is leading the nation when it comes to renewable energy,” said Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

“The Dulacca Wind Farm represents a significant moment in Queensland’s energy transformation, twelve months on from the establishment of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan, and highlights our commitment to cleaner, cheaper energy for Queenslanders,” she added.

The project owned by Octopus and developed by RES provided 150 job opportunities at its construction peak.
