Energy solutions provider Sharp Energy Solutions Corporation (SESJ), a subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, has announced the completion of a mega solar power plant project in Binh Dinh Province, Vietnam.

The newly built solar power plant has an output of about 50 MW-dc and an annual power generation capacity estimated at 82,506 MWh/year, or enough to power about 43,700 Vietnamese households in a year.

The project was done in collaboration with power-generating company Viet Nam Viet Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company, which will operate the plant, as well as co-owner, local construction company NSN Construction and Engineering Joint Stock Company.

With the new solar power plant, SESJ's solar power portfolio in Vietnam’s combined capacity has climbed from 290 MW-dc to approximately 340 MW-dc.
