Suzlon gets 37.8 MW Poonawalla deal

Suzlon will set up, operate and maintain a 37.8 megawatt project at Jaibhim in Dhule-Nandurbar wind park in Maharashtra.

Based on the order placed by the Serum Institute of India Limited, the project will comprise of 18 units of Suzlon’s S88 - 2.1 MW wind turbines - enough to power more than 8,000 households.

Wholly owned by the Poonawalla Group, Serum Institute of India is the world's largest producer of Measles and DTP group of vaccines. The project is Poonawalla Group’s second order with Suzlon Energy Limited and is set to be commissioned by March 2011.
