Tata Power unit’s 110 MW solar project goes online
The solar farm will supply electricity to the Kerala Electricity State Board.
Tata Power subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) commissioned its 110-megawatt solar farm project and will provide the generated power to the Kerala Electricity State Board.
In a statement, TPREL said the solar project in Bikaner, which can produce around 211 million units of electricity, is one of the fastest-commissioned projects in Rajasthan.

"This 110 MW solar power project will help meet the green energy requirements of the state of Kerala. The commissioning of such big projects within stipulated time frame reaffirms Tata Power Renewable's commitment of making substantial contribution towards the green energy transition in the country,” TPREL CEO Ashish Khanna said.
The commissioning of the plant brings TPREL’s total renewables capacity to 6,788 MW, of which 4,074 MW are operational. Solar power comprises 3,106 MW of the installed capacity whilst wind has 941 MW.
A total of 2,741 MW are in different implementation stages.
