Techno Electric gets financing for 101MW Indian wind project

Techno Electric & Engineering has secured $80 million in loans for the 101MW wind farm project in Tirunaveli and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

 

Techno Electric will install 1.5MW and 2.1MW Suzlon wind turbines at the wind farm, which is expected to be complete this month.

The INR6 billion or $135.04 million project received a loan of $30 million each from Standard Chartered and World Bank unit International Finance while DBS has granted $20m.

The plant is expected to raise the company's wind capacity by 75% to 236.
