Bangladesh industries to conserve energy for cricket?

A DESCO circular asked all to keep shut their industries during the ongoing Cricket World Cup.

The industries were asked so that there will be uninterrupted electricity supply from 1700hrs to 2300hrs for the matches.

According to reports by Energybangla.com, the Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited or DESCO staff also verbally asked all not to operate factories powered by even their own generators.

The circular is not clear whether the order is effective on match days in Bangladesh or on  all days up to the cricket finals.
