Policy shifts challenge Asia's steel sector
Tightening national policies are reshaping competition across steel and energy markets.
Speaking on the sidelines of Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2025—organised by TAITRA and GESA—Milton Wang, Sr. Sales Representative/Manager at Yieh Phui Enterprise Co., Ltd., said shifting national priorities are reshaping the industry.
“Many countries consider steel making and energy as the issue of national security. So everyone wants to protect their domestic steel mills and their energy industry,” he noted.
Wang added that this challenge also creates opportunity as nations increase budgets for steelmaking and energy. He said Yieh Phui stands out through quality, backed by “very, very deep experience,” and innovation with its new brand.
