Malaysia claims leadership in renewable energy

Says Malaysia at the forefront in Southeast Asia.

Chief operating officer of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (Seda), Ir Dr Ali Askar Sher Mohamad said Malaysia is in the lead in managing renewable energy since it has established strong mechanisms for this purpose He noted that Malaysia became a role model by establishing Seda and introducing the Renewable Energy Act 2011. Because of these moves, Malaysia is able to offer training and capacity building to Malaysians and others in the region.
