Eurus Energy’s 12.9MW wind farm in Hokkaido goes online

It started commercial operations on 15 March 2023.

The 12.9-megawatt (MW) Eurus Date Kitakogane Wind Farm in Date City, Hokkaido in Japan has started its operations.

In a statement, Eurus Energy said the new wind farm, overlooking the Uchiura Bay, is composed of three wind farms with a capacity of 4.3MW each.

The operation of the company’s third wind farm in Date City, following the Eurus Date Wind Farm and the Eurus Date Kogane Wind Farm, brings their total output to 57MW from 25 wind turbines.

Eurus said the output from the three projects is expected to supply electricity to around 41,000 average households and cut carbon dioxide emissions by 72 tonnes annually.
