NTPC unit to supply RE to Greenko’s green ammonia plant

This involves the supply of 1,300MW of renewables.

NTPC Renewable Energy and Greenko ZeroC signed a term sheet for the supply of 1,300 megawatts (MW) of round-the-clock renewables for Greenko’s green ammonia plant at Kakinada.

In a statement, the Ministry of Power said the agreement between the companies for the upcoming green ammonia plant is the single largest supply contract of round-the-clock renewable for an industrial client globally.

The term sheet was signed by NTPC Renewable Energy Chief General Manager Sh. Rajiv Gupta, and Greenko Group Founder and Joint Managing Director Sh. Mahesh Kolli.

NTPC Green Energy Limited, another NTPC subsidiary, partnered with the Indian Oil Corporation for the development of renewable project to meet the round-the-clock requirement of the oil company’s refineries
