Ambiyah Abdullah and Aisyah Fitri Azalia

Ambiyah Abdullah is a Senior Researcher in the Energy Modelling and Policy Planning (MPP) Department at the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). With over 8 years of professional experience conducting policy research on environment and climate change issues, she brings a multifaceted perspective on energy issues in ASEAN. 

Her current role at ACE is as a senior researcher who leads the Economics and Finance unit of the Energy Modelling and Policy Planning (MPP) department. Before joining ACE, she was a carbon pricing economist who worked on Article 6 assessment at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Seoul, Korea. 

She also worked as a researcher at think tanks and research institutes in Japan (such as IGES and UNU-IAS). She holds a PhD degree in environmental economics from Nagoya University, Japan.

Aisyah Fitri Azalia is a Research Assistant in the Energy Modelling and Policy Planning (MPP) Department at the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). She is actively engaged in initiatives in advancing the ASEAN energy transition, with a particular focus on energy investment. 

Before joining ACE, she gained valuable experience at a maritime deep-tech R&D and solutions company, where she worked on floating offshore wind turbine technology. 

Aisyah earned her MSc in Renewable Energy in the Marine Environment through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Programme, completing studies at University College Cork (Ireland), the University of the Basque Country (Spain), and École Centrale de Nantes (France).
