Weather risks drive TSEC product strategy
TSEC positions its high-resilience modules for Asia’s growing clean-energy demand.
Speaking at the sidelines of Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2025—organised by TAITRA and the Green Energy and Sustainability Alliance (GESA) under SEMI and held from 29 to 31 October 2025 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center—Henry H.L. Ding, Vice Chairman and Chief Captain of Wynnergy, highlighted how intensifying weather threats are reshaping regional energy priorities.
He noted that the country faces a lot of typhoons and that a recent storm caused damage to the power plant. Despite this, he said TSEC’s modules are “very tough and resistant to the wind pressure up to seventh grade,” making them suitable for Southeast Asia’s climate.
Ding stressed the importance of long-term resilience, explaining that modules “have to survive for more than 20 years.” TSEC’s products, he said, “are the topic in comparison to other imported products,” enabling customers to meet 30-year financial goals.
