Tilt Renewables greenlights 288 MW Palmer Wind Farm for 2026 construction start
The project will light up over 140,000 homes.
Tilt Renewables is set to commence construction of its 288 megawatt Palmer Wind Farm this year.
In a statement, the company said the project, located 70 kilometres east of Adelaide, will be able to power up to 142,000 homes.
“Technology improvements have enabled a reduction in the number of turbines from 103 to 40, reducing the area we impact while still generating a similar level of clean energy,” said Tilt Renewables CEO Anthony Fowler.
The project is backed by a Capacity Investment Scheme Agreement with the Commonwealth and supported by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with AGL.
“We look forward to finalising construction plans over the next few months and starting construction mid this year,” Fowler said.
