JSW Energy commissions 250 MW renewable capacity

With this, total installed capacity has reached 13.7 GW.

JSW Energy Limited has announced the commissioning of approximately 250 MW of renewable energy capacity since April 2026.

The newly added capacity includes 130 MW of wind power, 69.4 MW of solar power, and 50 MW from the Tidong Hydro Plant.

With this, total installed capacity has reached 13.7 GW.

The Tidong Unit-I, acquired in January 2026, was commissioned in a record time, with the remaining two units expected by June 2026.

Renewables now form 59% of total capacity, including 3,924 MW wind, 2,440 MW solar (including hybrid), and 1,681 MW hydro.

The company’s total locked-in generation capacity stands at 32.1 GW, including 13.7 GW operational, 13.8 GW under construction, and a 4.6 GW pipeline. It also holds 29.6 GWh of energy storage capacity (26.4 GWh pumped hydro and 3.2 GWh BESS).

JSW Energy plans to add approximately 3 GW renewable capacity in FY27 with around ₹20,000 crore capex, targeting 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh storage by 2030, and carbon neutrality by 2050.
