It is located at the Ubol Ratana Dam.

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and MPD Consortium, Mitr Phol Energy Services Co., signed a construction contract for the 24-megawatt Hydro-floating Solar Hybrid Project at Ubol Ratana Dam.

In a statement, EGAT said the hybrid project combines solar power and hydropower with a battery energy storage system to stabilise electricity generation.

It added that the project will support Thailand’s goal to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

The contract was signed with PEA ENCOM International and Dongfang Electric International Corporation.
