Shizen Energy secures $6.67m financing for 6.7 MW solar projects

This will be for solar plants in two prefectures.

Shizen Energy Inc. has signed a $6.67m (JYP1b) project finance agreement with Daishi Hokuetsu Bank, Ltd. for its 6.7 megawatt solar power plants in Niigata and Yamagata prefectures.

In a statement, the company said energy generated at the four solar power plants will be supplied to five of Bourbon's factories in Niigata Prefecture based on an off-site corporate power purchase agreement concluded in 2024.

Three of the four solar power plants have already begun operation and are supplying electricity, whilst the remaining one in Niigata is scheduled to begin operation in 2025.
